In 1991, a study conducted by Lauro A and Mouch B, published in Chiropractic: The Journal of Chiropractic Research and Clinical Investigation found that athletes demonstrated a 30% improvement in performance after 12 weeks of chiropractic treatment.  Athletes were tested on a mixture of kinesthetic perception, power, agility, balance, and reaction time.  In this same study, a group of athletes were followed for six weeks, and the group that received chiropractic care displayed an 18% increase in athletic performance.

In reading these details, one can see the relationship between peak performance and chiropractic care. As crucial as chiropractic care is for the professional athlete, it does not mean that the amateur athlete or weekend warrior cannot benefit from chiropractic care.
