Dru Parker - Instructor

 

Dru is a former science teacher, dancer, and cheerleader and has always had a passion for science, art, and motion.  Upon discovering how Pilates, Barre, and mindful movement encompassed ALL of those things, she fell in love immediately.  She appreciates the science behind the exercises and enjoys the beauty of the graceful, artistic movements.  Dru loves Pilates, and she would love to share the benefits of Pilates with you!  She is certified in anatomy, biomechanics, and postural analysis and All Populations Mat through Pilates Academy International.  Her Barre training is with Core Barre, a Smart Movement Certification.  Learn more about Dru and Science Art & Motion Pilates here.

Pilates is an incredibly effective form of physical fitness that is also gentle on the body. It stretches, strengthens, and deepens the mind/body connection. The exercises are designed to create better posture, strengthen the “powerhouse”  (core muscles of the abdominal and back area) and teach you greater body awareness.  When Pilates is part of your fitness routine, you develop a smart body with efficient movement patterns in your daily activities.
